Grape: 100% Nebbiolo
Region: Italy> Piedmont> Barbaresco> Loreto Vineyard.
Notes: Stainless Steel fermentation, Two years in large Oak, Unfiltered, Old Vines.
Description: Established in 1860, the family of De Forville have been producing Nebbiolo in Barbaresco for many generations. The wine displays a beautiful burgundy-garnet color. Aromas of Black Cherry cream and red flowers come to mind. The Loreto Vineyard bottling is clearly a wine meant to develop gracefully. Slightly gripping tannins that take the length of the palate. The fruit is hiding behind the tanniins, brambly pomegranate, and earthy character. Only revealing hints of red licorice, sweet oak, and black raspberry. Masculine feel today but expect this wine to gracefully settle and express more elegant lines within the next two to five years.
