Grapes: 50% Bonarda, 50% Malbec.
Region: Argentina> Mendoza.
Notes: 16 months in French oak. Hand harvest
The 2013 Tonel 78 Barrel Select is a 50/50 Malbec and Bonarda blend from Luján de Cuyo and Medrano respectively. Juicy and ripe, the nose has character and certain rusticity. The palate is lush and round, juicy and full showing good balance and acidity. It's quite approachable now, but it also has stuffing to age. — L.G.
