Notes: HIgh Wire Distillery Co. was created by a CIA trained baker, Scott Blackwell. Sorghum is a grain grown in Tennessee primarily used for human food consumption. This whiskey is matured in virgin charred oak barrels for 3 to 6 months. Displaying beautiful aromas of soft new oak, orange peel, and black tea leaf. Medium-viscosity with a hint of sweetness on the mid-palate that is surrounded by characteristics of wood, dried fruit cake, and caramel.

American Whiskey: A distilled product made from a mash of cereal grain which should be no more than 80% alcohol by volume. This means any grain can be used but Corn, Rye, Wheat, and Barley are usually the dominant grains. A “Straight” American Whiskey must be aged in barrel for at least two years with not more than 62.5% alcohol at the start of barrel process. It can not be blended with any other spirit, coloring, or additive. “Blended Whiskey” can be a mixture of straight whiskey, a blend of straight whiskeys or in combination. When the label say “Blended” but also list a particular grain, that blend must have at least 51% of that particular grain.
